Paul  A. Tegler, Jr.

Q. Who am I?     A. That's a question that I'm still trying to answer for myself.
Q. what am I?      A. Busy.... and loving it!   Well......
I'm a nerd, a grease monkey, driven, shy, a billiards hustler, an x hippie, talks too much, recently re-married, cynical, good/young looking for my age (so the ladies say), a philosopher, a poet, a lover, lazy,     Yea...that about sums it up.

   Ok, OK... seriously now...

My schooling background (eons ago) was electronics design (back in the vacuum tube days). I spent 16+ years designing computer controlled automated testing and manufacturing facilities for Tactical Towed Array Passive Sonar and navigational equipment for a private military contractor to the U.S. Navy.  It all culminated in  co-authoring a C.A.S.E. environment (Computer Automated Software Engineering) for other engineers to use to design hybrid micro-circuit test facilities used in a cleanroom environment. That was just before the iron curtain came down.

I've been running my own consulting and design firm (Teglerizer) since the late 80's. It started with remote control systems, branched into product design for the R/C industry, and turned into robotics & tracking telemetry systems. I've spent 10 years specializing in graphics, animation, computer vision and surveillance systems. In the early 90's I rejoined another division of the same corporation, as a senior R&D engineer automating the process of testing and manufacturing Fused Biconical Taper Passive Fiber Optic Couplers (wow what a mouthful). In 1997 I was nominated and inducted into the Who's Who of Business Professionals.

I've been into LBC's since the early/mid 70's. My 21st , and first NEW car I ever bought, was a 1980 Spitfire. When I finally settled down and got married in the early 80's we were a two car family. Both driving Spitfires. After a 'married life' style change and a 10+ year hiatus, I rediscovered LBC's all over again. in the late 90's.

Since 1998 I've restored/rehab'ed/owned 2 MG BGT's, two Midgets, three Triumph GT6's, eight Spitfires and now three Spit6's.  Currently a '73 BGT, a '75 Spit6 (FIS6), and a late MKIII GT6 (Big Red) occupy the driveway and garage here (+others...).

My goals/reasons for starting N.A.S.S.... simple!  To create a gathering place for fellow enthusiasts to share their experiences and passion for these small, inexpensive, great handling sports cars. To build a friendly, 'technical' gathering place for information on these cars.

.... as I re-read this while editing.... I can't help but think why would any of you care about all this anyway. But I've attempted to give some of you an idea of what I'm all about... just as I tried to have all the club officials do. So I guess it was only fair I do the same.
