Office of Secretary
Alex Polozoff

Please join me in thanking Atwell for stepping in as
acting secretary on such short notice.

I'm a long-time Copier Engineer for one of the largest companies in the business…Brand X if you must know. This career has resulted in skills beyond belief in the area of electro-mechanical troubleshooting.

Currently I'm 51 years young. I cut my teeth on British Cars and the sport of Auto Rallying in high school. By the late seventies, my wife   Patricia and I were one of the top TSD rally teams on the East Coast and Canada. (Who cared about "John & Vickie" Buffum when you knew At, Pat, and their Cats?) All during this period Pat and I were the prime movers in several rally and sports car clubs in the NJ area. I've   restored several cars, mostly British, in the last 15 years.

My ‘79 Spitfire was acquired in 1996 for a paltry sum, and was restored to mechanical excellence over the next two years. After that, I   drove the car everywhere before selling it late last year. I am very active in the NJ Triumph Association and now NASS. Current rides are a Lotus Esprit, Morgan 4/4, Mustang 5.0, and a ’78 Spitfire that I  get to drive in return for "mechanical favours".

I have two wonderful grown-up daughters, (both of which are single, hint hint) but my biggest disappointment is that their taste in vehicles is decidedly of the SUV persuasion. Must be one of those deals where taste skips a generation. Siggghhhh.

At least the four cats that currently call the Haines Residence "Home" seem to appreciate sports cars.
