| The 2005 Central Spit Together will be held this year on September
9, 10 & 11.It will be held in conjunction with the Detroit Triumph Sportscar Club 23rd
annual Battle
of the Brits. The venue is Freedom Hill County Park in City Sterling Heights,
Michigan. Place awards will be presented to the top 3 vehicles in 38 Concours classes and
14 Participants’ Choice classes, and special awards will be given to the
“President’s Preference, "Chairman’s Choice", "Best in
Show", and "Diamond in the Rough". In addition, DTSC will present a
special award to the "Best in Show" Spitfire and the "Best in
Show" GT6. Here is the direct link to the Battle of

filled out online, printed and mailed.
A block of 25 rooms have been set aside at the rate of
$59.00/night plus tax. The
Baymont Inn in Canton, MI which is
approximately 8 miles from the location of most events for the weekend. This rate will remain in effect until 26 August.
We have some exciting events planned for the Spit Together:
- A visit to historic Depot Town in Ypsilanti
- A photo shoot at Willow Run Airport with a bomber from the Yankee Air Force.
- A drive through the county side which will culminate in a barbeque at Geof Bush and
Lori Day's house on Saturday evening.
- Entertainment from a local comedienne.
At the Battle of the Brits on Sunday, we will have a live concert by NASS Member Lizzie
West (www.lizziewestlife.com).
Lizzie's credits include commercials , films (HBO Movie, "Rock The Boat" and
"Secretary", and TV ( Dawson Creek, Mismatch, Everwood, Alias and Third Watch).
Her music is featured on this summers Showtime series, Weeds

person which includes 2 hot entrees. Copious amounts of Guinness, Harps, etc. is

Depart the hotel for breakfast at Luca's. |

Photo shoot at Willow Run Airport. Unfortunately, the B-17 will not be in
town for the weekend. I am trying for the B-25. If that isn't available, we will do a
panoramic shot of a squadron of Spitfires in a formation flight with a B-52!. A true
generational jump! |

Depart for a drive through the country and take in the beauty of Southeast
Michigan that few bother to think exists. Upon completion, head back to the hotel to clean
up for dinner. |

Meet at Geof & Lori’s house for an evening of food, fun,
entertainment, and camaraderie. |

Depart the hotel to drive to Freedom Hill County Park for the 23rd
annual Battle of the Brits, sponsored by the Detroit Triumph Sportscar Club.The show runs
from 9:00 AM until approximately 3:00 PM. The NASS "Show within a Show" will run
concurrently. The NASS Spit Together awards will be presented following the DTSC BOTB
awards. Following the show, those that stay in the area for the night will meet somewhere
for dinner. |
